Pro Review Metric

Editorial Policy

Effective: August 5, 2026 Version: 1.0 Applies to: Reviews, comparisons, research pages and editorial content
Our editorial work exists to make buying decisions clearer—not to disguise advertising as independent analysis

Pro Review Metric separates confirmed product information, seller positioning, external evidence and editorial judgment. Commercial relationships may fund the site, but they do not change the obligation to publish accurate, understandable and appropriately qualified information.

Principle 01 People before clicks

Content should help a reader make a better decision even when that means delaying a purchase, choosing a smaller package or deciding that a product is not suitable.

Principle 02 Evidence before certainty

We do not turn a product label, ingredient study, testimonial or seller claim into a guaranteed outcome.

Principle 03 Commercial transparency

Affiliate relationships, product samples, sponsorships and other material connections must be disclosed clearly.

Purpose and scope

This policy governs product reviews, comparisons, research dossiers, buying guides, presells, offer pages and other editorial content published by Pro Review Metric.

It explains how products are selected, how sources are evaluated, how commercial relationships are handled, how artificial intelligence may assist the workflow, how corrections are made and who is responsible for published content.

The operational steps used to build an individual review are described separately in our Methodology.

Editorial independence and product selection

Products may be selected because of consumer interest, search demand, market relevance, category coverage, merchant availability, affiliate access or the opportunity to clarify a confusing offer.

Commercial potential may influence what is practical to cover. It does not guarantee favorable treatment, a recommendation, a specific placement or inclusion in a comparison.

  • Affiliate commission rates do not determine factual conclusions.
  • A product may be excluded when reliable source material is unavailable.
  • A review may remain neutral, identify significant limitations or recommend additional verification.
  • Package value is evaluated using visible totals, shipping, billing structure and current terms—not promotional language alone.

Our source standards

Sources are weighed according to how directly they support a product-specific statement. A seller page can confirm what the seller says. It does not independently prove every mechanism, outcome or testimonial.

Primary product evidence

Physical labels, Supplement Facts panels, packaging, directions, checkout summaries, billing details and merchant policy text.

Official product material

Manufacturer pages, merchant pages, official affiliate resources and product documentation.

Independent authoritative sources

Government guidance, regulatory information, primary research and recognized technical documentation when relevant to a specific explanation.

Secondary commentary

Articles, summaries, forums, testimonials and third-party opinions may provide context but do not override the label, checkout or higher-quality evidence.

Facts, claims and editorial judgment

Confirmed fact

Directly visible and attributable

Examples include a declared ingredient amount, serving instruction, package total, shipping charge or return period shown in current source material.

Seller positioning

What the manufacturer or merchant says

We may explain the product’s central promise while identifying it as seller positioning rather than independent proof.

External evidence

Context that requires careful limits

Evidence about one ingredient does not automatically establish the performance of a finished multi-ingredient product.

Editorial judgment

Our interpretation of the decision

Comments about transparency, convenience, package value, suitability or visible limitations are editorial assessments based on the available record.

Persuasive writing does not remove the duty to be accurate

Reviews may connect a product to a reader’s desired transformation, but they must not create medical certainty, fake scarcity, invented experience or unsupported claims.

Health and other high-impact topics

Products related to sleep, oral health, joint health and other areas that may affect a person’s wellbeing receive additional editorial caution.

We distinguish educational product analysis from diagnosis, treatment and individualized medical advice. Safety language, contraindications and medication concerns should appear near the relevant discussion—not only on a separate legal page.

  • We do not present dietary supplements as treatments for disease.
  • We do not guarantee a physical or psychological outcome.
  • We do not imply medical review unless a qualified professional actually reviewed that page.
  • When professional review exists, the reviewer, credentials and scope of review must be identified accurately.

Read the complete Medical Disclaimer.

Firsthand experience, testing and product access

We do not claim personal use, physical inspection or hands-on testing unless it actually occurred and the scope is described clearly.

Documentary analysis may include the official page, physical-label images, packaging information, checkout verification and other product materials. This is different from personally using the finished product.

When firsthand work is performed, a review may describe the packaging received, seal, lot information, serving format, taste, capsule size, dropper measurement, dissolving time, delivery or another directly observed feature. Personal experience does not prove that every reader will have the same outcome.

Authorship, review and accountability

Every published page must identify the person or editorial organization responsible for it. A byline should lead to information about the author, team or reviewer and the role they performed.

Research and writing

Editorial author

Collects product materials, organizes the evidence, writes the analysis and documents the buying decision.

Verification

Fact-check responsibility

Confirms that material statements match the label, official sources, checkout or cited evidence available at the time of review.

Specialized review

Medical or technical reviewer

Appears only when a qualified person actually reviewed the relevant claims, safety language or technical interpretation.

Current editorial responsibility is described on the Editorial Team page. We do not invent names, credentials, professional registrations or review relationships.

Artificial intelligence and automation

Artificial intelligence may assist with research organization, comparison, drafting, language refinement, formatting, structured-data preparation and quality-control checks.

AI is not treated as an author, medical reviewer or independent source. Product facts must be checked against the underlying source material, and a human editorial decision-maker remains responsible for what is published.

  • AI output is not accepted as evidence by itself.
  • Automated drafting does not remove the requirement for editorial review.
  • Pages should add original analysis, organization or decision value rather than merely restating existing material.
  • Large-scale publishing without meaningful review and added value is not an acceptable editorial standard.

Affiliate relationships and merchant compensation

Some pages contain tracked affiliate links. Pro Review Metric may receive compensation when a qualifying purchase is completed through those links, at no additional cost to the reader.

Affiliate disclosures must be clear, understandable and placed where readers can notice the relationship before or near the commercial recommendation.

Compensation does not authorize the removal of meaningful limitations, conflicting directions, hidden doses, higher shipping, unclear billing or other information that could affect a decision.

Read the complete Affiliate Disclosure.

Samples, gifts, sponsorships and paid placements

If a product, sample, trip, service, payment or other material benefit is provided by a brand or merchant, that relationship must be disclosed on the relevant content.

Receiving a sample does not guarantee coverage, favorable treatment or publication. If sponsored content or paid placement is introduced, it must be labeled clearly and kept distinguishable from independent editorial reviews.

We do not publish fabricated consumer reviews, suppress legitimate negative feedback or present paid promotion as unaffiliated opinion.

Ratings, rankings and recommendations

Pro Review Metric does not assign numerical scores, star ratings, “editor’s choice” labels or “best product” claims unless the criteria, weighting, evidence and limitations are defined publicly and applied consistently.

A recommendation should explain who the product may suit, what makes it relevant, what alternatives or tradeoffs matter and why the conclusion follows from the evidence.

Research dossiers and source transparency

Product research dossiers may be published to organize the sources used for a specific review. A dossier should identify the source, what that source supports, the date checked and any important limitations or conflicts.

A source list is not useful merely because it is long. The editorial goal is traceability: readers should be able to understand which evidence supports which part of the analysis.

Corrections, updates and version control

Products and offers change. Formulas, labels, prices, shipping, bonuses, billing structures and policies may become outdated after publication.

  • Material factual errors should be corrected when credible evidence is available.
  • Reviews should display a factual-check or update date when appropriate.
  • Substantive changes may require a new editorial version rather than a silent cosmetic edit.
  • Readers should confirm current transaction terms before payment.

Possible errors, rights-related notices or correction requests can be submitted through the Contact page.

Policy enforcement and future changes

This policy is the minimum editorial standard for Pro Review Metric. A page may use a stricter process when the topic, evidence or potential impact on the reader requires it.

The policy may be updated as the site develops, new content formats are introduced or better editorial controls become available. The effective date and version number at the top of this page identify the current public policy.
